Community connect event with Vydehi Institute

The IMPA – Bangalore team conducted a community connect event in collaboration with Vydehi Institute of rehabilitation, Whitefield.

The school provides service for different impairments such as cerebral palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s syndrome, cognitive impairment, visual impairment and multiple disabilities for children above the age of 5 years.

Presently, the school provides educational support to more than 70 students with 12 trained teaching staff who are so dedicated in training and looking after the special kids in their care.

The school program aims at identifying the strengths of each student and using those strengths to learn skills required for living.

The IMPA team members – Leema Bernad Viji, Aditi Kapoor & Moutushi Ghoshdeysarkar reached the school early in the morning before the kids start their daily physical exercise routine and they also have prayer service.

The IMPA team had a special task of photographing the children from all the divisions for a for a formal photograph. They have not been part of such an exercise till date.

The Principal Ms. Anita Bhaskaran was equally enthusiastic about IMPA’s initiative to create class pictures for the whole school. Many parents had tagged along with their children and helped the IMPA- Bangalore members in this event.
