On the occasion of the Children’s Day, IMPA Thane members collected toys and story books on the 10th November and donated them to the NGO Pragathi Prathistan, to be distributed to the children at Jawahar Nagar, where the NGO runs schools for the tribal children. A portion of the new drawing books and crayons were also donated to Vatsalya trust, Kanjurmarg. The consultants personally visited Vatsalya Trust and handed over the items.
Around 153 story books, 123 toys and 122 stationery items like notebooks and drawing books and crayons were collected and donated. Ruchi Bhargava, donated 50 brand new drawing books and crayon sets for the children. Pradnya More, Mamata Nakman, Trupti Nachane, Seema Lahiri, Sonika Khilnani, Jyothi K collected and donated toys and books. It was quite a fulfilling experience for everyone.
