The IMPA Delhi Chapter conducted interactive Communication Skills sessions (YETI) for students of Classes 4 and 5 at Swami Nagar Model School, facilitated by Sangeeta Das, Parul Panghal, Barkha Bhatia, and Versha Singh.
The sessions focused on developing essential communication habits, including active listening, expressing thoughts clearly, using polite and respectful language, teamwork, and building confidence. Through engaging activities such as listening challenges, the introduction of “Magic Words” — Please, Thank You, Sorry, May I? and Pardon Me — and the “Weave a Story and Enact It” activity, students practised listening, sharing ideas, collaborating, and expressing themselves confidently.
The sessions concluded with “Communication Clouds,” where students reflected on their key learnings and identified simple habits to practise in everyday interactions. The activity-based approach made learning fun, practical, and meaningful, reinforcing the importance of both listening and speaking in effective communication.
