IMPA Pune Chapter collaborates with Muktangan Rehabilitation for a session on Empathy

We are inspired by the ongoing collaboration between the IMPA Pune Chapter and the Rehabilitation Centre, founded in 1986 by Mr. P.L. Deshpande. This center is renowned for its dedicated efforts in overcoming alcohol and drug addiction.

Our enthusiastic member, Zahra Nasikwala, designed and led an impactful session on empathy for the residents of the Rehabilitation Centre. The session emphasized the importance of empathy, helping participants connect with the emotions and feelings of their family members who admitted them to the center rather than feeling anger or resentment toward them.

It was an interactive and immersive experience, filled with meaningful activities that encouraged the inmates to adopt practical and actionable ways to enhance their empathy quotient.

IMPA Pune Chapter Leads Nikita Sankeshwar - Gorde and Pallavi Bengeri, with chapter member Rohini Dhage, provided invaluable support throughout the session.

Kudos to Zahra for her dedication and selfless efforts to make a difference for this sensitive group!
