The IMPA Pune Chapter conducted its 38th CSR session at Muktangan Rehabilitation Centre on “The Communication Advantage,” facilitated by Chapter Member Ms. Mohini Ogale, a certified soft skills trainer and career coach.
Using the metaphor of a suitcase, the session encouraged participants to reflect on the communication habits and emotional barriers they carry. Through the concepts of Broken Items, Heavy Items, and Invisible Items, participants explored habits such as not listening, defensive communication, over-explaining, people-pleasing, and fear of judgment. They also identified positive practices to embrace, including listening, clarity, respect, boundaries, and pausing before responding.
A highlight was the interactive Back-to-Back Movement Chain activity, which encouraged teamwork, spontaneity, and active participation. The session concluded with a focus on small, conscious changes that can lead to clearer communication, greater confidence, and personal growth.
