The Power of Mindful Listening: A CSR Session by IMPA Pune in Collaboration with Muktangan Rehabilitation Centre

The IMPA Pune Chapter conducted an enriching CSR session on Mindful Listening for the residents of Muktangan Rehabilitation Centre.

Dr. Gauri Gaur, a seasoned academic and trainer, skillfully facilitated the session with a unique blend of expertise, empathy, and practical insight. With over 21 years of experience across industry and academia and a decade of leading corporate training programs, Dr. Gaur brought both depth and warmth to the interaction.

She began with a lively icebreaker—the classic “Chinese Whisper” game—to highlight the importance of attentive and accurate listening. She then introduced the LISTEN Model, a practical tool that participants could easily apply in their daily lives. Through an engaging group activity, she demonstrated how to use the model effectively, encouraging hands-on learning and reflection.

A thought-provoking video and a well-structured presentation kept the audience fully engaged. Dr Gaur’s ability to foster connection and deliver clarity ensured participants remained involved throughout. Their feedback reflected deep appreciation for the session’s simplicity, relevance, and real-world application.

Fellow chapter members and volunteers—Shreya Samtani, Varsha Khule, Anchal Kudawla, Ankita Seth, Rohini Dhage, Meera Sheth, Archana Pandey, along with Chapter Leads Pooja Kamble and Kavita Madani—actively supported the event, ensuring it ran seamlessly.

Kudos to Dr Gauri Gaur for delivering such an impactful session and to Team IMPA Pune for continuing to create meaningful change—one session at a time.
